Movies I have seen in 2012 (so far) -
I am pinning every movie I see this year.
I like it that lot of people are noticing.
I like pinterest :)
Krzysztof Kieślowski filming BLUE (1993).
when people accuse me of “sitting down on the job,” i’m sure this photo is precisely representative of what they mean. also, i don’t have a comprehensive list in front of me or anything, but this has gotta be one of the greatest photos of a director in action that the great annals of Tumblr have ever known.
in other news, i promise to post about non-Kieslowski things tomorrow.

“This shot is the most expensive shot in silent film history. It was filmed in a single take, that had to be perfect, with a real train and a ‘dummy’ engineer (notice the white arm hanging out the conductors window). Some of the locals who came to watch the filming, thought the dummy was a real person and screamed in horror; supposedly, one person even fainted.”
Paramount has set a release date of 29 June 2012 for the sequel, but when asked if he would be able to hit that, he said, “I care much more that it be good than it be ready.”
As well as confirmation on Star Trek as his next project, Abrams added that he’s not thinking about the film being in 3D.
He said, “I’m not yet considering it, but you know, I haven’t gotten any phone call from people in suits.”

I’m not nostalgic for a technology. I’m nostalgic for the kind of films that used to be made that aren’t being made now.” - Roger Deakins —
Happy 50th Birthday George Clooney -
I should have posted this on too much cinema instead of my own blog!
As defined by wikipedia
A blurb is a short summary or some words of praise accompanying a creative work, without giving away any details, that is usually referring to the words on the back of the book jacket but also commonly seen on DVD and video cases, web portals and news websites.
Writing about film or anything for that matter is a thought intensive thing. I tend to sit and think about it for a long time. Taking all the time and effort that goes into it my mind subconsciously finds me other things to do which are less boring especially when I am busy with work among other things.
The craving to write however remains. So this tumblog is a too much cinema extension while I figure out what to do with 2MC.
Here I shall write quickly and share interesting stuff (Also on the fb page) and keep the writing and sharing process time short.
ps: That doesnt mean I am going to refrain from wordy pieces. Will be going with the flow
